What I Eat On A Weekend Day | Korean BBQ Steak Nachos Recipe

Today I'm sharing what I eat in a day on a weekend to show you how I balance going out to eat, enjoying food, & also staying on track without completely ruining ...

good morning everyone it is Sunday and

today I'm sharing with you a what I eat on a weekend day video I figured I'd share this because I know a lot of you struggle with your weekend diet I know this is a problem for so many of you you eat healthy consistently all week long and then it feels like you've ruined it all on the weekends does that sound familiar so I want to show you how I dance having some fun meals and enjoying your weekends as you should with also staying on track and keeping your goals in mind with your meals so don't get me wrong I definitely have weekend's where I order pizza and I have a giant burger and french fries or I go out for ice cream or Froyo without any guilt whatsoever this is a totally fine and normal to do once in a while but if you have some serious goals you're trying to meet and you want to be able to stay a little bit more consistent during the weekend I want to show you what I eat to balance a little bit of both some fun and some responsible eating on the weekend so let's get to it for breakfast I keep it pretty simple if I'm not going out for breakfast or brunch my goal is to get enough protein and get a head start on my micros if I

know I'll be eating out at restaurants later so I made for scrambled whole eggs two slices of uncured turkey bacon two slices of gluten-free bread one kiwi and a green smoothie with kale spinach and a little frozen mango we went out for lunch and I ordered this pistachio almond crusted salmon over a spinach and arugula salad with mandarin oranges beets and goat cheese I got the dressing on the side and I used mostly balsamic vinegar with a little bit of the dressing that it came with but it didn't need much I got hungry for a snack between lunch and dinner so I made Korean barbecue steak and nachos and I thought I'd show you the recipe I started by grating half a pair a little ginger some diced onion minced garlic about a tablespoon of sesame oil Liquid aminos and some five-spice over some thinly sliced ribeye steak for my marinade i seared the steak on both sides and then i set it aside for my chips on using these I won Nutrition sriracha flavored protein chips these were such a nice touch for this recipe and they're pretty healthy too I layered the steak and a little mozzarella cheese on top

and melted it in the microwave for a few seconds next I topped it with some green and purple cabbage a little carrot and green onions I also made a spicy mayo sauce for this with avocado Mayo and sriracha my boyfriend and I shared this and it was so freakin good we both loved it and I think you should totally try it I put the link to where I get these chips in the description below if you do decide to try them I'm obsessed with them I tried every flavor and if I had to pick my favorites I would say it's the sriracha and the barbecue flavors but they're all pretty good for dinner we ordered sushi to go we got two rolls miso soup and albacore tataki the rolls are a spicy baked salmon roll and a Hawaiian tuna roll I got all the sauces on the side because I usually don't need them and can save only calories and added stuff that way and for dessert I made this strawberry protein parfait I just mix plain nonfat Greek yogurt with a scoop of vanilla protein and my favorite toppings like strawberries paleo granola and sliced almonds so if I had to boil down a few of the

tricks to staying on track and enjoying your weekend I would have to say number one don't avoid going out to eat and social gatherings with your friends and family all together you're not gonna enjoy your weekend that way and you're much less likely to stick to it and then what's the point right so it will take a little bit more willpower and self-control to order the healthier thing on the menu but you can do it and then watch your alcohol intake I know a lot of you do enjoy a cocktail here and there I personally don't enjoy alcohol I would much rather eat those calories I'll enjoy them much more that way but if you do enjoy a drink every once in a while just be mindful of the calorie intake because those do add up and then keep in mind that not every single meal needs to be the most extravagant amazing meal on the weekends try to keep a couple of your meals really simple remember food is fuel get your protein get your macros and save some calories for going out to eat and my last tip is if you're craving a treat or a cheat that's not necessarily healthy try making it yourself so you can control exactly what

goes into it and you can do what you can to make it as healthy as possible like I did for my nacho recipe today so if you need some recipe ideas make sure you're subscribed to my channel and check out my new mobile app where I share tons of my favorite healthy recipes including some not so healthy meals that I've remade to make healthy I hope you found this helpful and if you did make sure you give this video a thumbs up to let me know so I know what kind of content you're actually enjoying from me and until next time I'll meet you in the comments so come say hi
